Get to know Poet Vanessa Peterson:
1) What is the theme of your poem?
The theme is about beautiful lovers lying to one another and even if they know they won’t walk away .
2) How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?
I would like their response to my poem to be whatever it makes them feel as each response would probably differ .
3) How long have you been writing poetry?
I’ve been writing since age 12.
4) Do you have a favorite poet?
I don’t at the moment have one favorite poet , I love to read everyone of all ages and all formats of poetry.
5) What influenced you to submit to WILDsound and have your poetry performed by a professional actor?
I was curious to see how another would bring the words I penned to life, how it would come alive for others .
6) Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?
Right now I’m writing poems/prose and song lyrics. I hope to graduate to longer scripts of creative writing at some point.
7) What is your passion in life?
My passion in life is to capture life in glimmering color and passion , the dark and unlovely as well as the passionate stories of small town life. To have nothing my pen won’t touch on , be well read.
