STATEMENT
Bananas is a short made by the comedy troupe, Flambé. For 9 months, they churned out a sketch a week. This was #27. It’s filmed from the perspective of Charlie capturing Zack’s reaction to a prank he played on him, until everything completely backfires and Zack is left robbed in an apartment littered with bananas. Inspired by online prank videos, Zack decided to write this piece and film it vertically, integrating the natural shitty texture of iPhone videos in order to further blur the line between fiction and reality.
