7 Questions with June Helen Fleming:

1) What is the theme of your poem?

I wrote this poem for my mother, because of her great love for nature and its seasons. I saw the beauty of the seasons through my mother’s eyes.

2) How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

When people read my poetry I want them to share the joy I felt when I wrote the poem. Many of my poems are family oriented. I like my poems to make people aware of how fast time passes by, and you never have that special moment again. Enjoy every moment because when it passes it is gone forever.

3) How long have you been writing poetry?

I have been writing poetry for twenty years.

4) Do you have a favorite poet?

It is hard to say who my favorite poet is because I like so many poems by different poets. Three that come to my mind are Emily Dickenson’s The sun Just Touched The Morning, Robert Frost’s Stopping By the Woods On A Snowy Evening, and my son’s poem May Your Best Perceive Me, and the one he wrote for me. To My Dear Mom.

5) What influenced you to submit to WILDsound and have your poetry performed by a professional actor?

I submitted my poem to WILDsound about my mother because I wanted to share my poem about her with the world, and WILDsound made it beautiful for me to share with others.

6) Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

I write short stories, screenplays, children’s stores and poetry.

7) What is your passion in life?

My passion is writing. I like to use my creativity for others to enjoy. I like to make others see and feel what I have to share though my poetry, short stories, and screenplays.
