Interview with James Toma, Poet (Magical)

I submitted my poem to WILDsound because I want “Magical” to be read by the world and because WILDsound is another great way to promote my works.

Matthew Toffolo interviews James Toma:

Matthew: What is the theme of your poem?

James: The theme of my “Magical” poem is “natural beauty” (innocence, grace, poise, and a sound mind) overshadows outer appearance. I wrote this poem when I was just twenty-one years old so hence is the naivety in it. It has been thirteen and a half years since then.

Matthew: How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

James: I want people to be rest assured that you are loved not by your outer appearance and material things but by you being your positive self.

Matthew: How long have you been writing poetry?

James: I have been writing poetry since my high school years. Since the year 1997.

Matthew: Do you have a favorite poet?

James: Yes. My favorite poet is Langston Hughes.

Matthew: Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

James: Not yet. I am currently in school majoring in English Language and Literature and so far I have been writing a lot of term papers. My plans however are that I must finish a novel, a script, and a children’s book before I exit this world.

Matthew: What is your passion in life?

James: My passion in life would be to attend and be present at so many arts festivals and events having to do with the arts in my lifetime. Thank you very much WILDSound.
