1. What is your story about?
Tamara Salazar is a decorated NYPD Detective and her husband Xavier, a patrol cop. They awaken on the morning of September 11, 2001 and have another unsuccessful and frustrating attempt at making love. Tamara feels the pain of her husband’s hurtful words before going to work with a heavy heart. While in route, she hears panic roar across the radio’s airwaves regarding the World Trade Center tragedy. Knowing their professions will immerse them both deeply into this catastrophe, Tamara calls Xavier repeatedly to tell him what’s going on. After he doesn’t answer, she turns her car around and heads back home.
Upon her arrival, she realizes her worst fears are now reality. She watches as her husband has sex with his partner in their bed. To make matters even worse, his partner is a man! Broken-heartedness mixed with rage cause Tamara to do the unthinkable. She kills them both with her service weapon and disposes of their bodies in the most gruesome manner.
With the advantage of the world’s attention focused on the chaos at the World Trade Center, she puts an elaborate plan into play to make the bodies appear to be casualties of that tragedy. To pull it off, all she has to do is make it to ‘Ground Zero’.
