Matthew: What is your screenplay about?
Craig: After a near fatal accident, Steve Austin is turned into a bionic man and then must fight his way to the truth to save his fiance’s wife.
Matthew: Why should this script be made into a TV show?
Craig: It’s an exciting all around fun action romp, who doesn’t enjoy that?
Matthew: How long have you been writing stories?
Craig: Had some fun writing some short stories in my late teens and have been dabbling the last few years with screenwriting for enjoyment.
Matthew: What movie have you seen the most in your life?
Craig: This may sound scifi cliche but Star Wars… I do like a wide varity though.
Matthew: What artists would you love to work with?
Craig: To stay on the topic of writing, Damon Lindelof, really dig his work. Filmmaking-wise; a dreamy situation come true would be doing anything with Mr. Spielberg or J.J. Abrams. I’d wash dishes for catering just to be on one of their sets.
Matthew: How many stories/screenplays have you written?
Craig: Many short stories that I’ve never published and a few screens recently.
Hmm, thank you for reminding me of those shorts, let me rouse those dust bunnies and see if there’s any material there!
Matthew: Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?
Craig: Making a diagram on a white board for other writers.
Matthew: Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?
Craig: Little bit every day makes the block moster go away, even if it’s a sentence.
Matthew: Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Craig: My kids, My girl, my everlasting car named Puppy, acting, reading, the wilderness – when warm.
Matthew: What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Festival?
Craig: Twitter I believe.
Matthew: Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
Craig: Don’t give up. If you are very close to a project and construtive criticism doesn’t seem right. Step away for a bit, do something else, then come back around to it.
