1) What is the theme of your poem?

The Blues is based on the power of words and music. Music touches the soul and helps explain our emotions and feelings. The blues has a way of describing our true life events with a soulful presence.

2) How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

Feel the true emotion and power of words look for themselves inside the poetry. Feel the struggle ,pain and success in the poetry being read.

3) How long have you been writing poetry?

I started writing in the tenth grade and it’s been with me all my life.

4) Do you have a favorite poet?

Langston Hughes and many others.

5) What influenced you to submit to WILDsound and have your poetry performed by a professional actor?

The feeling of hearing something you wrote read by someone else, to take it all in, to savor the moment.

6) Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

I have completed my debut book Poetry That Speaks For Itself. I also have other short stories and poetry that hasn’t been published yet.

7) What is your passion in life?

To stay happy, blessed and write, create something worth reading and have others enjoy the art!
