The Universe Has an Edge by Raza Khan

2 Tubby legs
2 Tubby Arms
5 hands complete with sausage like fingers
Hold the knuckles
1 Nose, be sure to break it three times
2 pairs of feminine eyelashes
A Pair of Clark Kent’s glasses to make you manly again
Some fat to help you avoid the “manly guys”
964 comics, infuse into the skin under
Approximately 7 million strands of thick black hair
Which will turn brown if you add some sun (optional)
Slowly destroy with over-priced hair product
Now finish with a milk chocolate glaze spread all over.
Don’t be alarmed, it may look like an abomination
But now it’s time for the stuffing!
3 tea spoons of arachnophobia
And fear of any big insect really
Add 2 chopped drumsticks and stir slowly
The faint whiff of overheated amps should shroud your senses
6 strings, 7 drums, 1 song to make everything brighter.
If words are the windows to the soul,
Throw in a library and shatter the glass.
Music is crucial. Let it carry the dish through to the end
Through the dash of self doubt
Through the barrage of blades being thrown by
Yourself, opening scars you can walk through
Repeat, repeat.
A pinch of salt for pain, and you may see the dish bubbling
But all will be fine.
Cut a few comics and scatter over the whole of your life
Keep inside the dish throughout, and you should be good
A final throw in with the problems of the world
A final revelation of knowing I’m not the solution.
The final scent of a burning future.
And the sweet bake of the superhero who blows it out.
You’re good to go!
Let it stand for 30 seconds
But keep an eye on the dish
You will not want to miss a single moment of this.
