Get to know the poet Josie Parrelli:

1) What is the theme of your poem?

The theme is inspirational and motivational

2) How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

To feel encouraged and inspired. This is a message to everyone out there, no matter what they are going through – to take strength and courage in the knowing that things have a sense of time and purpose and knowing that your time will come.

3) How long have you been writing poetry?

Four years

4) Do you have a favorite poet?

I’m personally inspired by many wordsmiths whether songwriters or poets, expressing their thoughts and emotions in writing and communicating those thoughts in various performing platforms.

5) What influenced you to submit to WILDsound and have your poetry performed by a professional actor?

I love the fact that WILDsound is so broad and completely supportive of the creative and performing arts, helping artists have their voice and works heard. When I was asked if I would like to have my poem performed by a professional actor I was completed humbled – this is an amazing opportunity for my work to be shared worldwide and hearing a fellow artist perform and interpret my words is very exciting.

6) Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

Yes I do – I also write and have written theatre plays, short films, songs and monologues

7) What is your passion in life?

I’m a truly creative soul – my creativity is my passion and I’m lucky and blessed to be able to express and channel that creativity in many different forums whether it be writing, acting, directing, producing – As the saying goes if you find your passion in life you’ll never work a day in your life!
