Get to know writer R.E. Sheahan:
1. What is the theme of your novel?
It’s the classic Good vs Evil, and good wins.
2. Why do people need to know about your story?
It’s a fun, quick paced read packed with action, adventure, new worlds, new life
forms, and a touch of romance.
3. How long have you been writing stories?
Seriously writing now for fifteen years.
4. What movie have you seen the most in your life?
Stars Wars
5. What artists would you love to work with?
Dan Long, who created my first book cover, worked as an artist in Hollywood on several movies
and I would love to get another cover from him.
6. How many stories have you written?
Seven
7. Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?
I’d like to be making a good living from my books, teaching writing, and
continuing my work with young authors.
8. Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?
I’m definitely a ‘pantser’ when it comes to my writing. I can write early or late,
whenever the muse hits.
9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
God is my number one passion. Then there’s my love for animals, any animal.
I’d rescue and find homes for all of them if I could.
10. What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Festival?
I’ve been told my books would make great movies. And no, not just by my
mom. So . . . I’m just taking a shot. If I get more readers out of the
experience, I’m good.
11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
Write. A lot. Read books. All kinds. Then read more. Get involved
with a critique group. Take classes. Go to Writer’s Conferences. Help other
authors-it’s the best way to learn.
