Pass back my rose tinted glasses, Poetry by Vasudha Sahgal

Genre: Life

Pass back my rose tinted glasses
by Vasudha Sahgal

Pass back my rose tinted glasses,
Let me see the candy blue
Where there is grey of smog.
Let me see the poppy field reds
Where the opium junkies lie, in their reveries lost.

Pass back my rose tinted glasses,
Let me see the Snow-white peak on the horizon
not the burning of houses, the slaughtering of innocents in view.

Pass back my rose tinted glasses,
Let me see the movie in 3d
Bettering the picture upfront

Pass back my rose tinted glasses
I want to touch the pristine aquamarine sea
Concealing the plastic that wraps the dying marine, underneath

Pass me my rose tinted glasses
Cause paradise is lost
And I can’t seem to find it .
