January 24 2016 Writing Festival Details

The writing festival will be presenting the best of Family Screenplays: An original TV spec of the show “Doctor Who”. A best scene reading of a Action TV Pilot called “Two Emperors”. Plus, a full feature screenplay reading of a Family/Comedy screenplay called “Four For The Border”.

Here are the details of the winning scripts we’ll be performing:

#1 – Feature Screenplay – FOUR FOR THE BORDER by Toby Roberts

Genres: Family, Comedy, Adventure

SYNOPSIS:

A family comedy about three kids from completely different backgrounds on the run in New Mexico with a a racehorse that is about to be forced to throw a race on a journey that will change their lives forever.

#2 – Fan Fiction TV – DOCTOR WHO “THE TIME CUCKOO” by David Gilbank & Paul Renhard

Genres: Adventure, Drama, Family

SYNOPSIS:

The TARDIS materialises just as the battle of Trafalgar begins. Only problem is Admiral Nelson has been kidnapped by an alien race looking for an edge over their enemies in a million year-long war. With history about to change, the Doctor and his companion must travel to another galaxy to get Nelson back!

#3 – Best Scene TV – TWO EMPERORS by Paul Gross

Genre: Action, Biography, History, Drama

SYNOPSIS:

TWO EMPERORS is a first part of a six-part mini-series that focuses on Napoleon and Beethoven as their careers take shape after France’s Reign of Terror.
