DARK RAIN
by Ava Leigh Stewart

Walking in a dark rain
Parallel paths disjointed
The wet tears pour over you
As life paths reveal themselves
Through the stormy night
Either embracing truth or purpose
The choice causing disjointed sadness
And lament for what might have been

Drowning in your little white sins
It will happen again and again
Until you tell the truth
If not just to you…
I will not tolerate a false friend
It has happened over and over again

I hope you will apologize
And mean it deep in your eyes
With no words to strategize
No pretense in disguise
Just honest remorse of betrayal
And I will forgive you
