1) What is the theme of your poem?

Family and inner strength that can come from adversity. Our baby boy Brayden is a real warrior and our hero for overcoming his seizure disorder (known as Infantile Spasms) and we see how he fights every single day to continue his development despite his delays.

2) How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

I would like people to feel both the heartbreak of parents when they first find out their child has special needs, which then transforms into the embracing of everything that comes our way, knowing it will be okay because we are there for our son and will do everything we can to help him.
