A surveillance team get inadvertently caught up in a hostage situation when the man they are following, a charismatic sociopath, takes his own lawyer captive and threatens to kill him. It is down to the leader of the team, located miles from the scene, to engage in a dangerous battle of wits with the target in effort to talk him out of harming anyone.
