Jeremy Borison’s short film “SENSE OF SOUND” played at the first ever LA FEEDBACK Film Festival in 2016.
Matthew Toffolo: What motivated you to make this film?
Jeremy Borison: “Sense of Sound” was inspired by a footnote in Oliver Sacks’ Musicophilia. I was doing research on music related psychological phenomenons, and was reading about a man in Sacks’ book who was struck by lightening and developed a condition of musical hallucinations. I had known about this condition already, but what struck me as so interesting about the story was how far the man went to figure out the music in his head, to the point where his wife left him. That tension, between family and passion, and between psychological and physical health, is what motivated me to write “Sense of Sound.”
MT: From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
