There are a lot of things you can do in 10 minutes. Go back to sleep. Do the Dishes. Go to the Bathroom. Make a Phone call. Play a round or two of Call of Duty.
A lot of times, we look at writing and say, “I don’t have time for that.” Writing is labor intensive. Writing is time consuming. So why do it when there are so many other things we could spend our time doing?
The beauty of the 10 minute writing challenge is that it gets you into the habit of writing. People across the country routinely spend countless minutes a day taking smoke breaks; writing can be just as habit forming as cigarettes. All that it requires is for us to get into the habit.
