Logline: In Brooklyn, NY, an illegal immigrant gets in trouble with the local gangsters and also falls in love with a proud American ex-marine. She gets to the very bottom of the illegal immigrants’ world in her attempt to get away from danger but it is her love for the ex-marine that helps her learn that the only way for her, no matter what her status is, to become someone worthy of people’s respect is to forget about her selfish desire to survive and to protect the others instead.
