The inspiration for this project came from my own upbringing in the “deep south” and my experience of the many levels of subtle and some other less subtle displays of racism and prejudice. It was a very confusing and difficult culture to grow up in as a gay male.
This is a simple story that highlights the subtle ways that racism and prejudice continue to be passed from one generation to the next in our country.
