Director BIO: Josiah Cuneo (IN THROUGH THE NIGHT)

Josiah Cuneo is a Brooklyn based filmmaker, composer and choreographer.

In 2014 Roulette hosted the premier of Cuneo’s multimedia performance Scenes, four dance films he wrote, directed and choreographed which was accompanied by a performance of original chamber music by his string trio Dissemble. In 2015 Cuneo’s film Lilt (2017) was the recipient of the Dance Film Association’s Production Grant, and he also produced and edited the film Double Talk which won the Special Jury Price at the Three Rivers Film Festival. His film In Through the Night (2015) premiered at The Anthology Film Archive as part of NewFilmakers New York. In 2016 Cuneo produced, filmed and edited twelve films for artist and filmmaker Duane Michals’s multi-media exhibition Talking Pictures: Twelve Mini-Movies, which Artforum called “dynamic motion pictures that will linger long after you’ve left the gallery.” The film The Pleasures of the Glove went on…
