Adventure stories almost always move quickly, and the pace of the plot is at least as important as characterization, setting and other elements of a creative work.

That’s a perfect definition of what an adventure novel is all about. Of course, these books are crossovers for other genres, one of the more popular in the last 150 years is the Children’s and Teen Adventure series.
