Director Biography – Heather Harris (CRUSH)

Heather Harris was born and raised in the Cayman Islands. She began her career working in theatrical publicity for Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire whilst earning her Bachelor’s degree at New York University (NYU). Heather has worked with various global entertainment labels including Nickelodeon, Viacom, Color Force and StudioCanal. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she studies directing and writing at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts as an MFA student. In 2016, Heather was selected to be a member of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in accordance with their young emerging talent program. Apart from directing and writing, Heather is an avid painter and has also worked as a cinematographer for various films that have gone onto prestigious festivals such as the Berlin International Film Festival and NBCUniversal’s Short Film Showcase.
