Writer Biography – Theresa Regina Montoya

Theresa Montoya is a former LAPD police officer who has pulled from her experiences working such assignments as patrol, vice, sex crimes, under cover narcotics and fugitives. Theresa was born in The San Fernando Valley and her stories reveal true to life scenarios.

Writer Statement

Killing In the Name Of is a script that succeeds at creating a Los Angeles that is as diverse as the actual city. Different genders, ethnicities, and sexualities, take center stage in this story.
