INDELIBLE
by TP Keating
We make ourselves forget the past. What we did or didn’t say, what we did or didn’t do. But there is one item in my past which I can’t forget. A tattoo. Not because I don’t like the design, or the position on my body. No, that’s not what hurts. It’s because I got it in the future. The ink will warn of my approach when the machine to detect it is perfected. Which will be soon. Too soon. Then my actions will leave an indelible mark of their own. For better or worse? That depends if you have that ground-breaking insight into producing traceable ink. If I let you, that is. Sweet dreams.
