Yelena Gorn was born and raised in Ukraine, USSR. She was educated as a classical guitar teacher and received BA degree in Music – Classical Guitar Pedagogy and Folk Orchestra Leader from R. Glier Kiev Institute of Music.
Upon completion of her degree she worked as a music teacher in her native Ukraine for 8 years.
After emigrating to USA Yelena changed her occupation to become a software developer, receiving Diploma in Computer Programming from The Chubb Institute, NJ, USA. She worked as a Mainframe Software Developer for 25 years for companies in Transportation, Pharmaceutical and Financial industries.
In 2018 Yelena founded multi-media production company OrbWeb Studio. Currently Yelena splits her time between arranging and recording her music under pseudonym Greystring and creating graphic design and motion graphics.
