Jacob Samuels cut his teeth as a filmmaker with family and friends in his home city, Detroit, Michigan. He now attends film school at Belmont University, striving to marry his guerrilla filmmaking skills with professional Hollywood techniques. As a storyteller, he’s always been inspired by the prospect of creating narratives that inspire audiences to grow as people. Motion pictures have provided him with spaces to learn about himself, and he wants to create those sorts of spaces for others. Some of his favorite movies are Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Apocalypse Now, and Pulp Fiction.

Director Statement

The idea behind this film came to me when feeling intense jealousy and overwhelming emotion. I think it’s good to be able to take a step back and be able to laugh at yourself once those emotions pass. I hope that this film can do that for you as well.
