Originally from Portland Oregon, Director Alex F. Harris graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelors Degree in Communications. His background in martial arts and interest in comic books and hands-on industry experience heavily influence his directorial style. He is currently in post-production on a music video, in pre-production for a short-film while steadily writing his next feature film.
At its heart, Monochopsis is about a young woman being held back by her anxiety and depression, both of which are physically represented in this film by a pair of on-screen demons. The challenge was to build a tense, even panicked atmosphere from a completely internal psychological conflict.
