Being a writer requires discipline. For many writers working from home, many distractions exist. Without some type of writing routine, an author may find that he/she produces little work. Family and peers may not take writing as a serious profession and intrude on the writer as he/she is trying to write. Additionally, a writer may not know where he/she fits in the writing world.
