Director Statement

This is the story of Georgia. She, as all of us, in one point of our lives, has felt completely lost. It’s about people who need to find themselves and be brave, because you can only be brave when you are scared. There are moments in our lives when we don’t know what to do. We look backwards and we don’t know how to move forward. With lots of regrets and sorrows, the future might seem very scary. There are several things that prevent us from changing, but most of the time our biggest obstacle is ourselves.

Leaving behind people, precious moments and things we hold dear is extremely difficult, but it is a natural process of life. It’s how we grow and mature. We leave behind what no longer serves us, to move forward with the knowledge of past experiences. In many ways, Georgia’s life is much like ours. I believe it resonates with many of our struggles, which is the main reason why we wrote the story in the first place. The time placement is something we deliberately chose because this story echoes through time and even though it’s set way in the past, it’s something still very close to what we deal with nowadays.
