You are still in my dreams

So long ago and so far away
I used to dream of you everyday

You were in my arms and in my heart
Our life together was about to start

My mind and my soul danced with you into the night
Until I was awoken by the golden morning light

Those dreams were so precious and true
All I wanted was to be with you

When you were in my arms I felt all at peace
Time slipped away and all troubles ceased

An angel in my arms that is what I would feel
There was a great joy I just could not conceal

When you left I was shivered to my bones
With no light in my heart I was all alone

The years went by but the memories stayed
Deep in my mind as a soft parade

The true wild love I felt oh so long ago
Still dances in my mind and you will never know

Over the years all the images will fade
I keep wondering what if you’d stayed

The hurt and the pain have all come and gone
Life has changed and I have moved on

Everything is changed But I still have to smile
You are still in my dreams every once and a while
