Drawing, Poetry by Rebecca Behar

Genre: Love, Relationship, Rhyme

These fines lines
In light strokes
Are sketched with
A trembling brush
Tears are shed
Without intention
Impermanence
A recurrent figure
In the symmetry of cycles
Where codes order
The world chaos
A touch of purple
For a blade of grass
Who knows
Where the storm comes from
Who knows
Where love will go

Dessin
Ces traits fins
Cette touche légère
Le pinceau tremble
Les larmes coulent
Où est l’intention ?
Impermanence
Un chiffre répété
Cycle ou symétrie
L’ordre des codes
Le chaos des mondes
Un brin de pourpre
Pour un brin d’herbe
Qui sait d’où vient
La tempête
Qui sait où s’en va
L’amour

A Letter I’ll Never Send, by Amari James (aka Marz)

Genre: LOVE

Love is an evil, evil thing. When you fall in love, you literally fall. You crash to the ground and every last bone in your body breaks. But you don’t notice because you have this beautiful boy whispering sweet nothings in your ear and giving you butterflies when he kisses your forehead, so nothing else matters. Then he leaves. He leaves, and you feel it. You feel every broken bone as if they’re breaking all over again. Your chest caves in and you find yourself crying hysterically in your car at 4am, desperately gasping for air that doesn’t taste like him, and trying to hold your broken bones together. But his old t-shirts don’t work as a cast; wrapping them around yourself won’t fix the craters in your ribs. Nothing will stop the aching; nothing will fix the hole in your heart that love has dug.

I always thought falling in love was supposed to be like a fairytale. And I swore it would never happen to me, because I had seen what love could do to you; how it could completely destroy a person and leave them to pick up the broken pieces. But one day, you smiled at me, and holy s**t I lost it.

I fell in love with the way you made me feel, kinda like Cinderella. But our happily ever after didn’t last as long as it was supposed to. It’s so hard because when you held me I felt complete. My heart felt whole for the first time in my life. When life was hard on me, you were there to make it better. You were supposed to be my forever and always. Somehow, our forever was cut short.

I try so hard to stay away from you. But like someone addicted to crack or cocaine, I’m always craving you. And just like the drug addicts, I’m addicted to the way you made me feel; like I’m on cloud 9, a permanent high that I never wanted to end. From a young age, my parents warned me about the drugs in the street, but they never mentioned the ones with big brown eyes and a heartbeat that feels like home. Oh God, how I wish they had warned me about you.

Desperate love, Poetry by Fazia Tahir

Genre: Love, Romance, Relationship

I shed tears of pain as l walk by thy side

As thoughts of our past love sears through my heart

I reach out with sincere words entwined with hope

But thou disdainfully look away from me

Have I wronged thee so distant I cannot reach

Why hatred such for l thou hath on me

Kind hearted to all who seek me l beg you… I beseech…

But thou cast me aside with silence, no honour, heart, or soul…

Set yourself free the wind whispers time and time again

Thus far, I cannot, for my soul is chained to thee whom I wed, until death us do part

I shall but forever shower thee with love of the deepest despair…

Until thou heart heal and forgiveth me…

Betrayed with a Kiss, Poetry by Azzurra Nox

Genre: Relationship, Romance, Love

Betrayed with a Kiss by Azzurra Nox

Answers cannot be found in your shattered reflection,
But you persist to search with your distressed eyes
Carving the image of your wrecked heart in the corridors of your soul.
Dead days pass you by—because
Eleven-fiftyseven knows all about your veils that
Fail to heal your bleeding wounds.

Gone forever are the days when
Heaven could be found in your boudoir,
Indigo tears fall uncontrollably—because
Jealousy rips your minuscule body with its tyrannical claws
Killing you in its cruel process.
Love for you now is nothing but a double dagger-inflicting Cupid, who

Marks your flesh with your lover’s name,
Nails his decayed passion deep within your
Opium-fueled fantasies.
Prick your bruised lips with a razor blade….
Quiet blood whispers its way down your pallid chin,
Rushes to seek an escape from your essence,

Strives to survive while you just want to roll over and die, so
Tear his photos as if they were his worthless limbs
Until you feel his blood on your lips….
Valentina, you deserve so much more than this, had
Wished for so much more than this
X-rated relationship.

You had conceived him in your heart, nourished him endlessly, but
Zane was aborted, the moment he betrayed you with a kiss.

The Soundtrack to Your First Embrace, Poetry by Kim M. Russell

Genre: Love, Relationship

The Soundtrack to Your First Embrace

You fold your arms around her

With a whisper of wings,

Your breath in her ear

Like sea in a shell, washing

A distant shore and yet so near.

Your heart gallops,

A startled stallion

Running for cover,

Unsure of your lover,

Holding her with bones that creak

Like sails on a galleon.

Clothes rustle

As your fingers brush her face

In your first embrace.

Tom Cat, Poetry by Barbara Anderson

Genre:Family, Love

Tom Cat by Barbara Anderson

As a child I loved to play, with the cats at home,
especially the ones that played with me all day long.
One day I was outside playing, when a Tom Cat
happened to stroll my way, “tom cat would you like to
play with me,” and this is what he said.
“I am Tom Cat and as you
know we’re wild as can be.
But for you my girl, since
you love us so much, I’ll
try to control myself.
I like to roam the
streets at night and
especially the alley, but
you my girl have to stay at
home so this is what I’ll do.
I’ll play with you in the day time when your parents
are at home. But be careful my girl, that you do not tell
them, that I’m not a domesticated cat.”
The little girl laughed then said, “that’s ok, Tom
Cat. I’ll play with you,” as long as you visit me each and
every day.

YEARNING, Poetry by Kapil Joshi

GENRE: DESPAIR, LOVE, LIFE, LONGING,PAINFUL, RELATIONSHIPS

YEARNING by Kapil Joshi

a long cherished dream
perceived,protected
through
fallacies of perception…
protected,perceived
by
the walls
raised
through
the fallacies
of
a dumb mind….
an enemy
and
a friend
at
the same time
embracing
the light
of
longing
of
an emblazoned heart
now empty
now full
of
love…
just
another
long cherished dream
