The Man of Lies
by Krizelle R. Talladen
His hands say yes
To copy another’s words
But his mouth closes
When another asks
If he commits it
His mouth says yes
To say bad words on the good
His full hands clench
When another asks
If he has said them
He overflows his pocket
With gems he never earns
He accepts donations
Of generous groups
But just adds them up
To the pile in his pocket
He swears he serves
But hates touching the beggar
He swears he loves
But his heart is stone.
