THIS IS NOT A LOVE STORY by Yosi Oluwatayo

Can we stay like this forever?

Can I lay here in your arms?

And you never let me go

The moonlight looks beautiful

Against the calm sea

You hold me tight and

Your hands trace the contours of my body

I capture the moment before…well

It’s gone

You say the worst things

I shrug you off me and you watch me

You devil into a roar of laughter

I yell

You are the worst

You say

I’m are not perfect

I don’t want you perfect

I just want you and your heart
