Matthew Toffolo: What is your screenplay about?
Craig Andrews: The story, set in the 1880’s, centers Christine Lockhart who has just graduated from high school. She’s the daughter of a social climbing doctor,
who forces her to court, Arron, the obnoxious son of a business partner and
banker. Christine must fight her father’s greed, his prejudice against the
poorer family of her newfound love, Michael, and her father’s powerful
connections, without him locking her up. Michael intrepidly faces the
obnoxious suitor, Arron’s pals, and tries to overcome his own poverty. As
Christine and Michael fight their own battles, lies put their love to the
test. The doctor’s greed and Christine’s freedom intertwine on the discovery
of gas.
