Stage Plays. A different type of storytelling. Perhaps original plays are a dying art, but we hope not. That is why we want to showcase plays at our festival. Hopefully in the next year we will be able to perform an original play at least once a month. Problem is that all the up and coming writers out there are not writing in this format.
You really never know what the future holds. Perhaps….as we move towards the era where we will all be able to watch any movie that comes out in our own home, that the theater world and original plays will make a comeback because we’re going to want to get out of the house and do something!
Plus, you can follow the art of supply and demand in WILDsound terms: We want to showcase many plays, so that is the demand. And there aren’t as many people submitting, which is the supply. This is a golden opportunity to get your work performed by professional actors.
Deadline for the next Stage Play contest is November 10th. Submit your play and get it performed at our festival, plus garner full feedback:
