Poetry writer cc lindh – Watch her new poem performed at the WILDsound Festival

Last week we performed poetry writer cc lindh’s work THE EDGE OF YOU. Watch the reading now by actor Rob Notman:

WILDsound’s Matthew Toffolo chatted with cc about her work.

Matthew Toffolo: What is the theme of your poem?

cc lindh: I believe that my poem, the edge of you, is about an amazing surfer
who belongs in the ocean and yet doesn’t. It’s about the special
experience of being a surfer and being in a beautiful ocean.

MT: How would you like people to respond when they read or
watch your poetry reading?

cc: I hope that my poem pulls up happy memories in people about their
own positive experiences in the ocean and that my poem
reminds people of the sacredness of our seas.

MT: How long have you been writing poetry?

cc: Many, many years.

MT: Do you have a favorite poet?

cc: Yes: Emily Dickinson

MT: What influenced you to submit to WILDsound and have
your poetry performed by a professional actor?

cc: I have participated in many poetry readings and I wanted to hear
someone else read my poems. I was also interested in sharing my
work in a new way with others.

MT: Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

cc: Yes, I have two books on Amazon: Oceana: a love story and The edge of you & other poems. I also write screenplays and have music on
iTunes.

MT: What is your passion in life?

cc: I want to create work that is beautiful and meaningful and hopefully
makes our world better. I am especially interested in projects that are
about women and expand our understanding of women’s issues. I
also want to create work that celebrates our beautiful and vitally
important natural world! Thank you, WILDsound!
