WATCH the 1st Chapter Reading of her NOVEL “Disturbed”. (performed by actress Erynn Brook)
Matthew Toffolo interviews Susanne Wilson:
Matthew: What is your novel about?
Susanne: The novel is about a young man who is being tormented by a malevolent spirit. The spirit is looking for revenge against his family for her untimely death. She uses seduction as a weapon against him and when he tries to resist her and seek help from his friends and family, they think he’s losing his mind. He meets and falls in love with a woman who is a “sensitive” so she believes him, but is unsure how to help.
Matthew: Why should your novel be read by people?
Susanne: If you enjoy reading about ghosts and like being scared, it’s just an easy, fun read. It’s the first in a trilogy and the second one will be out soon!
Matthew: How long have you been writing stories?
Susanne: As long as I could hold a pencil.
Matthew: What movie have you seen the most in your life?
Matthew: What artists would you love to work with?
Susanne: Steven King and Dean Koontz
Matthew: How many stories have you written?
Susanne: I’m a full-time ghostwriter and have been for about six years. I have written probably fifty full novels during that time. As far as my own writing goes, too many too count.
Matthew: Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?
Susanne: I’d like to still be in California, but closer to the beach!
Matthew: Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?
Susanne: Not really. I write every day, sometimes all day long because it’s my full-time job. I can block things out easily, so I usually don’t have to worry too much about the noise around me.
Matthew: Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Susanne: My family most of all, and then of course Reading!! You have to read to be a good writer, I think.
Matthew: What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Festival?
Susanne: I just checked out the postings from past festivals and thought it looked like a really beneficial site for writers to get noticed and to get feedback from other people in the business. I still consider myself new at this, so I welcome all the feedback I can get.
Matthew: Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
Susanne: Just to read everything and write everyday no matter what. You can always change it later, but you have to write it!!
