Watch GIFT HORSE – Twitter Short Story:

Get to know Tina LaCount Myers:

1) What is your very short story about?

Gift Horse is about a woman who believes love will solve all of her problems.

2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I’d just finished the first draft of the third manuscript in an epic fantasy series and relished the idea of telling a short, succinct tale.

3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?

Princess Bride.

4) How many scripts and stories have you written?

I’ve never written a script, but when I write, I see the story unfold in terms of camera angles. As for stories, I’ve written half a dozen that I will admit to.

5) What artists would you love to work with?

I’d love to work with Olafur Eiriksson or Sebastio Salgado or James Turrell.

6) What is your passion in life?

I am compelled to scratch at the surface of human connections.

7) Any tips for other writers who want to write a 140 character short story?

Make elevator pitches/loglines/taglines for your longer works in progress. It’ll get you to the essence of your story. Then make every word count.
