I Hope One Day, by Nala Hampton

I hope you let go of whatever is holding you back,
because you are worth so much more than that.
I hope you stop letting the negatives eat at your brain,
because I promise they will become positives one day.
I hope one day you stop faking your smiles and your laughs.
I hope one day they become as real as the pain you feel.
I hope one day you can get out of the bed without feeling like your world is crashing down.
I hope one day you meet people that make you question why you have trust issues.
I hope one day you realize that you don’t have to be strong all the time;
that it’s okay to let your walls down sometimes.
I hope one day you realize that you are more than your past and it isn’t the only thing that defines you.
I hope one day you can forgive yourself
and everyone else.
I hope one day you will see yourself as the precious jewel you are.
I hope one day you embrace your flaws, because they are what make you;
you.
I hope one day your dreams become reality, because you have worked so hard.
I hope one day that you can stop hoping because you will truly be happy.
And even though that thought seems crazy, it’s possible.
Happiness isn’t a destination,
its a journey.
I hope one day you realize that only you can decide your happiness;
that’s it’s okay to let yourself be happy.
