Get to know writer Ellie Dias:
1) What is your Short Story about?
It’s about an elderly man in a coffee shop who reads the only part left of a newspaper-the obituary page. Reading about the fulfilling and meaningful lives of others and their families leaves him despondent about his own. Never married he is alone in the world and feels all he has is his name. He wonders who will write his?
2) What motivated you to write this story?
It was based on a prompt from one of my writing classes.
3) What movie have you seen the most?
I don’t typical watch movie’s over again. But if I had to name one I saw more than once it was Shawshank Redemption.
4) How many scripts and stories have you written?
I have a travel/memoir book coming out on October 6 of this year published by Buddhapuss Ink and I am working on the first rewrites of a novel.
5) What artists would you love to work with?
Don’t know
6) What is your passion in life?
I am passionate about meditation, Buddhism and the quest for living an authentic life.
7) Any tips for other writers who want to write a 140 character short story?
Just go for it!
