The Joker
by Mohammed Islam Butt
He was a legend in his own rite
He made people smile and kept everything locked up tight
He might have been the happiest person in the world?
He was always there and made people happy, but people like
He, where always making people happy so He did not stay for long
He beamed a smile brighter than the sun, but never shone any light on his life
He knew a million jokes, which would bring a smile
But we failed to see the tear in his eye, and mistook this for something in his eye
He was always on and never told a lie, this in itself was a lie
He was good at cards, which gave us his name,
His real name was know to us, but He was so much like a Joker
He fell for the Queen of Hearts and this brought joy to all
He was happy and so was she, but then like a house a cards fell and shattered
He was a Joker after all and could be seen as nothing more
She was the Queen of Hearts and no longer belonged to me
The Joker woke up one day and took his life away
Now remains a broken man, no more jokes, no more smiles and no more laughs
Just a broken man
They found a man in the streets and one of them says
“That’s Islam, formally know as The Joker”
Good Bye…Joker…
Hello…DEADMAN…
