This is My Life
by by Bridgette R

This is my life
My own song
I&I alone

I will sing it in my own way
With my own words
However i wish to
Over and over in my head

It beats like an African drum
At sunset, dust rising as dancers sway to it
Orange skylite dimming
Slowly changing into darkness
The fire lights the night and the music plays on long after the dancers tire

Even after the drums stop
It plays on and on in my head
I remember it clearly
I hear it loudly in my head
Because it is my music & this here is my life
