  1. Kabuki is an ancient Japanese form of performing arts. But personifying it as a creature is interesting.

  2. Manan Unleashed: I am glad you find it interesting. In the screenplay the Kabuki is acutally a Kumori. The Kumori are shadow creatures that eat and reanimate what they eat as part of their digestive system. The reanimated do not even know they are dead. Whatever they cannot digest is eliminated or reincarnated in this world. These creatures do not have emotions but when they consume something they can feel those emotions within themselves. I becomes an addiction so most Kumori only feed on plants. The Kumori that would later become known as the Kabuki consumed a kabuki performer during a stage performance. The locals coined it The Kabuki and it became feared.

  3. I am glad you find it interesting. The Kabuki is actually a Kumori or shadow creature. They consume and reanimate the consumed inside themselves. You don’t even know you are dead but you are being digested as part of the reanimation process. Those that are not digested are eliminated and reemerge in this world. Kumori do not have emotions and most only feed on plants. When they eat animals they feel those emotions and it becomes an addiction. The Kabuki is a meat eater and when it made itself known in a Japanese village, it consumed a kabuki performer on stage. This is how the Kumori got its name and it would become feared for centuries.
