1.What is your story about?
On her thirteen birthday, Ana meets a mysterious and unworldly man known as The Baron, introducing her to a fantastical world she never would of imagine existed. Years after their fated first visit together, the mysterious stranger returns! After a series of unfortunate events, Ana makes an impulsive decision to go to The Baron’s world without his approval, even after she learns that her own life could hang by a thread. Once on the other side, Ana must learn to control her newly obtained powers, discover why her connection with The Baron is so strong, and fight against an evil entity that is after her soul and that threatens the entire Universe.
2. Why should people know this story?
Above anything else, this is a coming-of-age story. The path to self-discovery is an essential and extraordinary journey that defines us as “humans.” It’s through our challenges and experiences where we have the opportunity to grow and find who we are. Only by discovering one’s self where one is truly able to connect with others, gaining a deep understanding of humanity. And for me, that is important for people to know.
3. This story has a lot going for it. How would you describe this story in two words?
4. What movie have you seen the most in your life?
Pride and Prejudice
5. How long have you been working on this story?
About a year and a half
6. How many stories have you written?
7. What motivated you to write this story?
Having gone through my own challenges in life, I wanted to create a story that captures the journey and internal struggle one may have on the path to self-discovery, a story where people can relate to. Although this story has fantastical elements, the basis of the story stays true to the human heart and soul. I want people to know that it’s okay to doubt sometimes or be scared of the unknown. As long as you have hope, there is never a challenge that is impossible to overcome. Never lose hope!
8. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Traveling, films, anime, reading, singing, and dancing.
9. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
If you have an idea that you want to bring to life, stick with it. Don’t give up because of a few bumps along the way! It may take time, hard work, and dedication but it’s worth it at the end, believe me. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be from the heart. Stories have the power to inspire and change, don’t be scared to be that inspiration or change.
