1) What is the theme of your poem?

Political descent and a historical narrative. The Internment was my attempt to understand how our society is structured and what it truly means to belong to a democratic civilization. someone once said that “Propaganda works best when those who are being manipulated are confident that they are acting on their free will” I think this is a powerful statement and quite reflective of the society we live in. We function based on our belief system, creating our decisions and ultimately our experiences on this planet through the scope of what we believe.
