Get to know G.R. Holton:

1. What is your story about?

Teleported is about three young teens who get mysteriously transported to the edge of the known universe to assist a race of beings turn back on their defense shield before they are enslaved by an evil overlord from another planet.

2. Why should people know this story?

It is a story of working together. Brothers and sisters having to overcome their usual ways to get themselves out of a very bad situation.

3. This story has a lot going for it. How would you describe this story in two words?

Blood binds.

4. What movie have you seen the most in your life?

I’m a big fan of both science fiction. Star Wars, Star Trek, 2001 – A Space Odyssey, mostly all the space genre films.

5. How long have you been working on this story?

I started writing the novel back in 2008 with the screenplay to follow in 2009. I’ve gone back to it many times to polish it after receiving feedback from contests.

6. How many stories have you written?

I’ve written five published novels, seven screenplays, and published a children’s picture book on not judging by appearance alone.

7. What motivated you to write this story?

It actually came to me in a dream after trying to write a screenplay for someone else. It was two of my sisters and I on a strange planet inside a cave.

8. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

I’m a 100% disabled veteran, a Mason, and a Shriner. I love doing cosplay as the Green Lantern GarRee. I have a wonderful wife, five awesome children, and three of the most beautiful and smartest granddaughters a Pop pop could ever get.

9. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?

Three words: Faith, Focus, and Patience. Have faith in what you are writing, keep your focus on the story, and have the patience to write it well.
