Watch THE SAD CHAIR, 140 Character Short Story:

1) What is your very short story about?

The idea of a chair that whoever sits in it becomes sad and grieves came from a chair in my old flat that seemed to have that effect on the cats or humans who sat on it. It sort of took on that personality afterwards.

2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I love writing, but in my job as a coder I’m in a very different, highly logical mindset. The idea or me entering this was it seems like an interesting challenge and should inspire me to keep writing. I always thought that the idea of 140 Twitter characters harked back to the telegrams of old and this competition hooked into that idea for me.

3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?
