1) What is your very short story about?
Midnight Serenade is about justice or revenge depending on your point of view. The heroine does what she has to do. The authorities will take a different point of view.
2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?
Midnight Serenade is a tongue and cheek warning to men to feel they can get away with beating their wives. Think of the Dixie Chicks song, Goodbye Earl. I enjoy writing short and super short stories. It challenges me to put emotion into every word.
