1) What is the theme of your poem?

The theme of this poem is the duality of human nature. The child, who had previously seen her father in a positive light, has just now experienced the man’s “dark side” — — as if he had a sinister twin.

2) How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your
poetry reading?

When folks read or watch this poetry reading, I would like people to connect with their own dual nature and ask themselves if they are letting their GOOD influences help steer their life — or are they giving into the destructive inclinations that will ruin their chances to be productive, honest, generous, and big-hearted.
