1) What is your very short story about?

It’s a fanciful short think about how humans and nature interact which started with me wondering about when willows first started to weep.

2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I went to see a new production of Hamlet recently and was struck anew by Ophelia’s story. The idea about the watery willow came to me in the theatre and then I recalled reading earlier submissions on your website a few days earlier.

3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?

For many reasons I never tire of ‘Tess’, Roman Polanski’s version of Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy.
